The boat was sponsored by long time Seattle businessman Art Oberto who’s company has sponsored hydroplanes almost every year since 1975. Steve David retired from racing in 2013 having accomplished 18 overall wins, 6 driver’s championships, and 4 national championships on the unlimited circuit.
